I Don't Like It...

Haydee (8): “Graham crackers are ok, but I don’t like milk.” Me: “There are a lot of things in life we don’t like but we have to deal with... Like whining. I don’t like it but I have to listen to it every day.” Isaiah (6): “Me too. Like whisky. I don’t like it.”

The Netflix Generation

Watching TV... Isaiah (6): "Mom, is this show World's Worst Disasters?" Me: "No. It's KNOE news."

A Dinnertime "First"

Isaiah (6): "Thank you, Mom." Me: "For what?" Isaiah: "Broccoli."

Special Delivery

Isaiah (6): "Can you tell the UPS truck to drop off a kickstand for my bike today?"

Invincible

Isaiah (6) playing with his light saber: "I'm going to kill you!" Jesse: "You can't, I'm invincible." Isaiah: "No you're not, I can see you fine!"

#%$& English!

Seeing the Espanol app on the iPad...
Isaiah (6): "Mom, is there an English app?"
Me: "Why? You already know English."
Isaiah: "So I can learn the words I can say when I'm an adult."

Welcome Isaiah Hanson Everett

Isaiah arrived on Saturday, March 12th at 2:41am. 9 lbs, 3 oz, 21.5" tall, 14.5" head circumference.

After checking in at 7am Friday morning, and a long day of waiting and laboring, we discovered that Isaiah could not make his journey because of his awkward position and had to be delivered via c-section.  It was a disappointment to have 3 normal deliveries, and make it so far with this one and end up with a c-section, but it was a necessary decision.  He was pretty sore and bruised up from trying to force his way through.

The family is all home now, recovering, and getting to know one another.  Thank you to all of you who have prayed and helped out over the last few days, and to those who are continuing to help us adjust to home life with a new little one by helping around the house and bringing meals.  From the wonderful staff at Adventist Hospital, to our awesome doctor, and to our family and friends. We are blessed and grateful.
