On Thursday, James forgot to bring his library book back and was unable to check out a new one. Mrs. Dalzell, the librarian, told him she would hold onto his new book so he could check it out once he brought the other one back.
This morning I was bringing James into the school, when Mrs. Dalzell was outside. James rushed to her and said he had brought his book today.
Mrs. Dalzell: "Good. Now I can give you your new book."
James (6): "That was very sweet of you to hold it for me."
It put a nice smile on his librarian's face.
