Happy Birthday, James!

We celebrated James' 4th birthday on Saturday with tons of family and friends. It came time for James to open gifts and he did a wonderful job of telling people thank you. One gift he got was from "the baby". He opened it and it was a Tom & Jerry cartoon DVD, to which he looked at Mommy's tummy, got really close to it, and said...

"Thank you, Baby. I love you." Awww!!!!

Then, after he opened all his gifts, he told everyone:

"I'm so happy. Thank you for coming to my party!" Say it again...Awww!!!!

Big Mistake

So we made the mistake of bringing James to the picture studio WITH his socks/shoes on. Then we made him take them off for the pictures. Here was the result. Note to self: Do not make children with 'sock fetishes' remove their socks before getting pictures taken.

Mr. Manners

(James is watching Frankie put on her makeup...)

James: "What's that, Mommy?"
Frankie: "Makeup."
James: "Is it for girls?"
Frankie: "Older girls, like ladies and women."
James: "Do I call them 'ma'am'?"

The Exterminator

We have a bee's nest on the side of our house, and an exterminator was called in to get rid of the pests. The exterminator knocks on the door...

James: "Who's that, Mommy?"
Frankie: "The exterminator."
James: "Like on Over The Hedge? Cool!"

Conversations with a 3 year old...

James: "Mommy, you wanna come play with me in my room?"
Frankie: "Ok, I'll be there in a minute."
James (sigh): "I already told you. How many times do I need to tell you..."

The Fox's Dog

The Fox family got a new dog over the weekend. James absolutely loves animals and followed the dog every where. But then it was time to go home...

James: "Can we borrow the dog until later, Daddy?"

We can take me there!

We are driving up to Bremerton to see my mom and drive by the Clark County fair.

James sees the rides and says: "We can take me there."

It's always nice to get that advice from our 3 year old.
